One of the warmest guest houses we've been in South Africa. It's the host Colin and his wife Natalie (who bakes fantastic) who set the standard higher than other guesthouses.
Colin reads your wishes and fulfills them before you know that you have them.
When you sit together with him in the central gathering room with nice wine sharing stories from all over world... you know you are really welcome like a friend.
We've been there now for second time and will come back!
Fantastic breakfast and now also with load shedding backup...

LE guesthouse de santa lucia, l'accueil de Colin est parfait et fait que nous nous sentons de suite à l'aise et presque chez nous ! un jardin magnifique, une chambre spacieuse et confortable une piscine trés sympa un petit dejeuner parfait ... l'accueil chaleureux et francophone les conseils de visite sont de vrais plus !! d'ailleurs certains hoteliers en france devraient venir prendre des cours dans ce guesthouse.

There are not enough superlatives to describe our amazing experience at St. Lucia Wetlands Guesthouse, under the extraordinary care of Colin and Natalie and their friendly and efficient staff.

In the middle of a lush garden, the house and rooms are charming, comfortable, stocked and furnished with an obvious care for detail. The yard and garden are lush.

Breakfast is plentiful, tasty, and such a great way to start your day, with Colin and Natalie’s witty and unfailingly helpful advice. We were offered cooling boxes, snorkels, towels and a rich breakfast to-go on days we left early for trips. Our cars were washed several times after the long and muddy drives. Colin even had our laundry washed and pressed and returned the same day.

I have never experienced this level of hospitality and care in my many years of travels. I use “care” a lot in this review because it’s obvious they really do care. They accommodated us in so many ways.

Outstanding. Can’t wait to return. What a great way to start our first trip to South Africa. We might get used to this.

We were 6 ladies celebrating life and a special birthday. From the moment Colin took our booking he bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. Our rooms were immaculate, clean and just pure divine. The guest house is really beautiful with lush gardens. Highly recommend.

La plus jolie guesthouse que nous avons faite de tout le séjour, Collin et ses parents nous ont accueillis avec une grande amabilité. A beautiful haven to "come home to" after a day of exploring St Lucia and Cape Vidal, with local small wildlife of its own to enjoy.

We had a truly wonderful 8-night stay and the guesthouse is by far the best we have been to in our travels. The rooms are welcoming, clean and are equipped with all required amenities. The common guest areas are cozy and inviting - the pool was fabulous too. The breakfast is delicious, generous in size and variety, and expertly prepared. Best of all - the owners and support staff are incredibly warm and attentive, going above and beyond always to make our stay even better.

The host Colin was absolutely fantastic. He pays very careful attention to clients needs and always exceeds their expectations. Vegetarian breakfast was sumptuous and luxurious. Undoubtedly the best breakfast in St Lucia. Food is always at the right temperature as it is prepared when you arrive at breakfast. They have an in-house pastry chef who is really passionate about her baking.

Such a huge effort was made by everyone to make sure we were comfortable, had all we could wish for (and more) and most importantly in these COVID-19 times we felt safe. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms well set out with all the necessary attention to detail. Every breakfast was a feast with a different home made bread / pastry surprise from Natalie daily. Great tips from Colin and Derrick on what to do for the day, and where to stop to get the best of the gorgeous St Lucia scenery and wildlife. To make life easy there is always a cooler box for you to pop your drinks and lunch into. One evening when we got home Hettie had made popcorn for the boys to sit and watch a movie on the TV. Such genuine warmth and kindness makes this a very special place to stay and we cannot wait to go back. Thanks to the entire TEAM who work so beautifully together.

 reat all-around top notch service. Welcome drink with recommendations on what to do and showing this on a map. Immediate booking of events we wanted to do. Beautiful lobby and rooms with attention to detail and gorgeous antiques. Comfortable mattresses, crisp white linens and thick, fluffy towels. The pool is very clean, great service with beach towels and cushions to lay on. The breakfast was amazing with beautifully set tables, outside on a balcony. Large choice and the eggs are cooked freshly, as wished. The guests cars are washed every morning. They even offered to clean the car on the inside! Wow. Wish we could have stayed longer here...

Super Zimmer mit guten Matratzen, geräumiges, modernes Bad, toller Garten, gepflegter Pool und schöner Aufenthaltsbereich - die Ausstattung schon einmal top. Dazu kommt noch ein super Frühstücksbuffet und Eierspeisen nach Wahl, was will man mehr? Und trotzdem wird in diesem Haus noch einiges mehr geboten. Am Morgen wird das Auto gewaschen, man bekommt eine Kühlbox für den Ausflug, wenn man braucht die Schnorchelaurüstung, viele gute Tips und Hilfen für die Tagesplanung und kommt man am Abend zurück, kann man sich frisches Obst oder einen Sherry nehmen. Die liebenswürdige, aufmerksame und humorvolle Art und Weise, in der der Gastgeber Colin seine Gäste behandelt, unterscheidet jedoch diese Unterkunft von vielen anderen und macht einen Aufenthalt in diesem Guesthouse zu etwas Besonderem.

Es war rundum perfekt! Das Frühstück ist wirklich hervorragend, der Service wunderbar und die Lage optimal! Wir konnten uns kostenlos eine Kühlbox ausleihen und es gibt einen Wäscheservice. Wir hatten ausserdem das Glück eine Strasse weiter einem Hippo in der Nacht zu begegnen, welches ganz entspannt gegrast hat :)
