Exceptional, everything is exceptional in Colin's guest house including himself. A gentleman of rare class with a welcome and attention at all times, subtle, wise and precise advice on what there is to see or do. He is a scholar who has a perfect command of French. The house is beautifully decorated with a garden that would make even the most demanding gardener dream. An exceptional breakfast. A staff of total discretion, kindness and remarkable efficiency. This is one of those stops that will undoubtedly leave you with a wonderful memory of your time in St Lucia and South Africa.

Un endroit plus que parfait qui mériterait une note encore supérieure !
Très belle maison, beau jardin, quartier calme, tout était absolument parfait.
Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans une grande chambre familiale ( 2 chambres communicantes et 2 salles de bain), très belles et confortables.
Le petit déjeuner est excellent et varié. Servi sur la terrasse ...un régal !
L’accueil de Colin est vraiment sensationnel. C'est un hôte très prévenant, il est de bon conseil sur les activités environnantes et sur les restaurants. Il nous a aussi été d'un grand secours pour un problème avec notre voiture et nous le remercions mille fois pour sa gentillesse et son efficacité.

The house, the rooms, the garden, everything lovingly designed down to the smallest detail. Colin and Natalie are exceptional hosts. We received a great welcome, even though all the guests arrived at the same time and early. We were even allowed to choose between two rooms. The breakfast was incredibly good and delicious. The best food, freshly prepared. Colin gave us great tips for local restaurants and activities and even for our onward journey. He was concerned about his guests the whole time. We felt very comfortable and thank you for the unforgettable stay with you!! 

I've been in few countries around the world: from East to West Africa, Europe and U.S and South America - and I've never seen a host with this much hospitality. Colin made our stay one to remember. From giving us tips about St Lucia, to making sure we felt at home. The place has a lovely garden, filled with native/exotic plants and trees. If you want to relax and travel through time - this is the place to go. Loved the vintage decor, with board games and everything. Definitely will be coming back.

Nothing to complain about, only regret was staying only for 2 nights.

Everything....the best breakfasts we had in our 5-week stay in SA. The garden is beautifully landscaped, and the entire guesthouse is tastefully decorated with interesting and unique items. Colin and Natalie are wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable about the area and gave valuable advice during our stay. They have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. For example, the room had plenty of space to store luggage out of the way. The bathroom had plenty of space to put your toiletries. The list goes on and on. The staff is remarkable, Clement even washed and vacuumed our car! The laundry service was also perfect. 

One of the warmest guest houses we've been in South Africa. It's the host Colin and his wife Natalie (who bakes fantastic) who set the standard higher than other guesthouses.
Colin reads your wishes and fulfills them before you know that you have them.
When you sit together with him in the central gathering room with nice wine sharing stories from all over world... you know you are really welcome like a friend.
We've been there now for second time and will come back!

LE guesthouse de santa lucia, l'accueil de Colin est parfait et fait que nous nous sentons de suite à l'aise et presque chez nous ! un jardin magnifique, une chambre spacieuse et confortable une piscine trés sympa un petit dejeuner parfait ... l'accueil chaleureux et francophone les conseils de visite sont de vrais plus !! d'ailleurs certains hoteliers en france devraient venir prendre des cours dans ce guesthouse.

There are not enough superlatives to describe our amazing experience at St. Lucia Wetlands Guesthouse, under the extraordinary care of Colin and Natalie and their friendly and efficient staff.

In the middle of a lush garden, the house and rooms are charming, comfortable, stocked and furnished with an obvious care for detail. The yard and garden are lush.

Breakfast is plentiful, tasty, and such a great way to start your day, with Colin and Natalie’s witty and unfailingly helpful advice. We were offered cooling boxes, snorkels, towels and a rich breakfast to-go on days we left early for trips. Our cars were washed several times after the long and muddy drives. Colin even had our laundry washed and pressed and returned the same day.

I have never experienced this level of hospitality and care in my many years of travels. I use “care” a lot in this review because it’s obvious they really do care. They accommodated us in so many ways.

Outstanding. Can’t wait to return. What a great way to start our first trip to South Africa. We might get used to this.

We were 6 ladies celebrating life and a special birthday. From the moment Colin took our booking he bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. Our rooms were immaculate, clean and just pure divine. The guest house is really beautiful with lush gardens. Highly recommend.

Le breakfast était très bon et tres copieux, les chambres spacieuses, très belles, et bien équipées. Nous conseillons vraiment cette guesthouse et reviendrons avec plaisir
